CHILDREN MATTER TO JESUS
Children are important. Jesus taught us to let the little children come to him without hindering them. At Discovery, we strive to remove any barriers that might keep children away from connecting with Jesus. We strive to offer a child a friendly environment so that the whole family can learn and grow in their faith together.
We believe that children are not the church of tomorrow, but are an important part of the church today! We work to make sure that each child feels included in the life of the church.
KIDS ON SUNDAYS
We call our Sunday morning kids program Discovery Kids.
Nursery and Preschool care is open ten minutes before the service begins for the entire service. Our Nursery/Preschool room doubles as a cry room complete with livestream of the service for parents who decide to stay with their infants/toddlers.
Children’s programming for Kindergarten to Grade 8, is available during our Sunday worship service. Children start off with their parents in the service, and are dismissed halfway through the service.
Please sign in at the welcome centre before the service.
SAFETY
We know that fun is a priority for kids and that safety is a priority for parents. At Discovery, we appreciate that parents want to know that their children are safe when out of their site.
To protect your children, we have implemented a Plant to Protect. As part of this plan, anyone who is supervising children have gone through a screening process, training and a Criminal Record Check.
If you have any concerns or questions regarding the safety of your child, please talk to one of our teachers or pastors.
