At Discovery, we value every generation and every person.  From the oldest to the youngest, from diapers to dentures, we proclaim that God loves them all.

Children are important.  They are not the church of tomorrow, but are a vital part of the church of today.  Jesus taught us to let the little children come to him without hindering them.  At Discovery we strive to remove any barriers the might keep children away from connecting with Jesus.  We strive to offer a child friendly environment so that the whole family can learn and grow in their faith together.  We do this by making our worship times kid friendly as well as offering a Sunday school program halfway through our worship service with volunteer leaders who have gone through a rigorous screening process.  Our Nursery is also available for our youngest worshipers beginning at the start of the service.

At Discovery we know that trying to quiet your heart or lift your praises to God is challenging with busy infants, toddlers or preschoolers beside you.  Although you are welcome to keep your young children with you in the service, we offer supervised nursery and preschool care in the Sunday school wing.

Sunday School
We offer a children’s program that starts halfway through out worship service for all kids from Kindergarten to Grade 5.  We want to instil in our children a knowledge of who God is, how much He loves them, and who they are in Him.  Kids learn about the love of God in Jesus Christ through age appropriate story telling, bible readings, crafts, games and song.

Youth Life Group
DCC believe that are young people are valuable resources to the body of Christ and we want to help them develop into the next generation of leaders in the church. Our Youth Life Group helps youth learn about God, themselves, and life, in a fun and meaningful way. They meet Wednesday evenings.

We know that fun is a priority for kids and that safety is a priority for parents.  At Discovery, we appreciate that parents want to know that their children are safe when out of their sight.  To protect your children, we have implemented a Plan to Protect.  As part of this plan, anyone who is supervising children have gone through a screening process, training and a Criminal Police Records Check.  If you have any concerns or questions regarding the safety of your child, please talk to one of the teachers or pastors.
